Merrell is a key player in the outdoors industry, selling quality performance shoes and apparel around the world. I had the opportunity to work with the marketing team this summer, creating various brand elements and marketing collateral. My day-to-day work ranged anywhere from retouching photos to designing store displays for retailers in Colombia. What you see here are a few selected projects from my time at Merrell.

Merrell empowers people to challenge themselves in the great outside. Achieve. Never Settle. Hit the Trail. Out. Perform.
'Swag' is the term used for various goodies and amenities that carry the Merrell brand. There were a few Merrell-branded Camelbak water bottles in retail stores, but they did not communicate Merrell's shift to performance-oriented gear. My task was to provide a visual solution to this problem.
One of my first projects was updating product hang tags. These two products in particular needed simple, yet effective illustrations to communicate their features. After a bit of brainstorming, we developed these two solutions for a packable jacket and a hat with a floatable brim.
Another project I worked on was a marketplace report that was utilized in a quarterly sales meeting. The report was an update on current sales statistics and future projections. I designed the icons below to help visualize the information and provide a better flow throughout the document.
Merrell recently shifted its brand positioning to focus on athletic performance in the outdoors. However, the company stationery had not been updated in several years and did not carry the new OUT.PERFORM. mantra. As a solution, we incorporated the new slogan and new brand elements like the topo design.
