The Military Traumatic Brain Injury Initiative (MTBI²) is a federal research organization dedicated to mitigating the impact of traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) on our esteemed U.S. service members. At RP3, we had the privilege of collaborating with MTBI², working to reposition their strategy and develop a fresh visual identity in the wake of their recent name change.
With our strategic foundation securely in place, I spearheaded the visual redesign process, leading an engaging brand identity workshop. During the workshop, our client's adept team and our agency's experts collaborated closely on the visual style and meaning behind the logo, igniting the creative process of generating distinct logo concepts. We presented five compelling logo concepts, and the one that resonated most profoundly with our client featured a striking shield embellished with a distinctive, radiating double chevron, which also reads as an 'M'.
With the logo selected, we delved further into constructing the new visual identity, encompassing elements like iconography, photo guidelines, brand patterns, typography, and color palette. Through a holistic approach, we ensured the creation of a unified and impactful brand identity that eloquently tells MTBI²’s story in an authentic way.
